POSITION: PRESIDENT OF THE AGENCY
The President legally represents the Association. He/she presides over the General Assembly and the Management Board. He/she is responsible for compliance with the statutes and for implementation by the Executive Director of decisions taken by the General Assembly and the Management Board.
The President supervises the operation and achievement of the objectives of the Association, ensuring the unity of action of the General Assembly, the Management Board and the Board of Accreditation.
The position of President requires high-level experience in organisational management and governance with proven capable leadership and ability to work with people as well as a solid background in public health, and understanding of education and training.
The President of the Association is elected by the General Assembly. His/her responsibilities and terms of service are governed by the Association statutes.
POSITION: MEMBERS OF MANAGEMENT BOARD
The Management Board consists of a minimum of four and a maximum of nine members, including the President, Vice-President and Treasurer of the Association, and the Chair of the Board of Accreditation, respecting gender parity.
The Management Board is responsible for the direction and overall management of the Association. It ensures that the decisions of the General Assembly are properly implemented.
It reports to the General Assembly on the annual budgets, accounts, strategy and annual work programme of the Association. It ensures that clear criteria and processes are in place for the accreditation procedures and for the appointment of the Board of Accreditation and examiners. It shall approve the recommendations resulting from the accreditation reviews presented by the Chair of the Board of Accreditation.
This position requires experience in public health education and training. Candidates will ideally also have experience in quality improvement, assurance and accreditation, and/or relevant other senior input for multilateral organisation management.
The members of the Management Board are elected by the General Assembly. Their responsibilities and terms of service are governed by the Association statutes. |
