Dr Relić is a medical doctor and academic with extensive experience in health systems, education, and workforce development. He holds a PhD in public health from the University of Zagreb in Croatia and specializes in family medicine. His academic career includes a position as a Senior Assistant at the School of Public Health Andrija Štampar, School of Medicine, University of Zagreb, where he lectures in public health at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Dr Relić has been actively involved in improving curriculum development and enhancing the quality of teaching processes since his student days. He has played a significant role in representing young physicians, health workforce planning, and the public health community, serving as founder and president of the Croatian Young Physicians Association and vice president of the Association of People's Health Andrija Štampar. Additionally, he has served as the head of the Career Planning Center for Biomedicine and Health in Croatia, where he played a key role in supporting students and health professionals in career development, job placement, and long-term career planning.

He is currently a member of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), where he contributes to key public health policies. His research focuses on medical workforce planning, medical informatics, e-professionalism in healthcare, and digital transformation in public health. Dr Relić has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and regularly presents at international conferences, actively shaping policy discussions and advancing public health education.
