APHEA President Carlo Signorelli and Executive Director Danko Relić met in Brussels with Aleksandar Šušnjar, Director of the EQAR – European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education, to discuss the possibility of APHEA’s registration within the EQAR framework.
The meeting enabled an open and constructive exchange on APHEA’s role, mandate, and established practices in the accreditation of public health education programmes. Discussions focused on alignment with European standards and principles for quality assurance in higher education, as well as on issues of transparency, accountability, and international comparability.
This dialogue represents an important step in APHEA’s ongoing efforts to further strengthen the quality, credibility, and international recognition of its work, activities, and services. Registration within the EQAR framework would support greater visibility of APHEA’s accreditation processes and reaffirm its long-standing commitment to high standards in public health education.
APHEA remains committed to continuous quality improvement and collaboration with key European and international stakeholders, contributing to excellence and trust in public health education worldwide.
