Continuing Training & Educational Event (CTEE)

About

APHEA’s Continuing Training & Educational Event (CTEE) Accreditation is a standalone quality label that formally recognises the excellence of public health training and educational activities. It applies to a wide range of learning formats, including short courses, individual modules, workshops, symposia, summer schools, MOOCs, and conferences.

In many countries, such activities are part of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and play a vital role in strengthening the knowledge, skills, and competencies of the public health workforce. CTEE accreditation supports this role by providing international recognition of quality for continuing public health education.

Accredited events receive APHEA-issued credits, which participants may seek to convert within their national CPD or professional development systems, where applicable.

__ABOUT

Beyond quality assurance, CTEE accreditation is designed as a quality improvement tool. The application process guides training providers in structuring effective, high-quality educational activities based on recognised best practices. Accreditation criteria include both essential requirements, which must be met, and developmental elements, intended to support benchmarking and continuous improvement.

Successful applicants are granted CTEE accreditation for three years (subject to the conditions outlined in the handbook), may use the APHEA accreditation logo in their materials, and are publicly listed on the APHEA website.
