World Health Day 2026: Together for Health – Standing with Science

On 7 April, the World Health Organization marks World Health Day, uniting global efforts around the theme “Together for health. Stand with science.” This year’s campaign highlights the power of scientific collaboration and the urgent need to turn evidence into action to protect the health of people, animals, and the planet.

Despite major progress, global health challenges remain deeply interconnected and unevenly distributed. Strengthening evidence-based decision-making, investing in resilient health systems, and advancing the One Health approach are central to achieving healthier and more equitable societies worldwide.

In this context, APHEA contributes at the global level by strengthening the scientific foundation on the health impacts of environmental risks such as air pollution, while also accrediting and promoting high-quality programmes, institutions, and professional standards in public health. Through its accreditation role, APHEA helps ensure that science is not only produced, but also trusted, recognized, and effectively implemented across different contexts.

World Health Day 2026 is a call to action: to stand with science, to invest in collaboration, and to scale solutions that improve health outcomes for all.
